In this workshop, Tom and Layla use fun drama games to take you on a playful exploration of Shakespeare’s magical tale ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.

Tom Murray is a playwright born and raised in Linton. He went to the Infants, Heights and LVC. He was the Peter Shaffer Playwright in Residence at Trinity College, Cambridge 2023-2024. He won the RSC 37 Plays Award in 2023 for his play North Star. His work is published with Bloomsbury Publishing.

Layla Chowdhury is an actor and facilitator from London. She has run drama workshops for all ages at the Orange Tree Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith, ATG, as well as schools across the country. She has acted in multiple UK touring productions and, with Tom, co-runs the Mango Ensemble Theatre Company, which was nominated for the National Diversity Awards in 2025.
