Join Kate Wakeling to race a comet through outer space, bake an exceptionally weird cake and consider eleven (unexpected) uses for a garden pea! This interactive workshop will feature lively poetry performances mixed with playful opportunities for children to get involved and write their own poems.
Kate Wakeling is an award-winning poet who writes for both adults and children. Her poetry collections for children include Moon Juice, Cloud Soup and A Dinosaur at the Bus Stop, and her books have been awarded ‘The Week Junior’ Book of the Year, the CLiPPA Prize and nominated for the Carnegie Medal. Kate is an enthusiastic player of Balinese gamelan music and a longstanding champion of guinea pigs.
