CHINESE PAPER-CUTTING (6-8 yrs)

.Learn about the traditional art of Chinese paper-cutting in this creative hands-on workshop. Children’s book illustrator Yu Rong is here to share her incredible skills with rice paper! Come along to cut and colour and learn how to create a work of art with this unique medium.

All children will walk away with a cut-out of their own.

Yu Rong is an acclaimed British-Chinese children’s picture book illustrator known for combining traditional paper-cutting techniques with more experimental 3D methods. Her books have won multiple awards including being shortlisted for CILIP’s 2022 Kate Greenaway award for her work in Shu Lin’s Grandpa.
